Your copywriting service from Expressions Media will include:
- One initial consultation in the form of a meeting or phone call to discuss your requirements (or requirements of a third party client)
- Content, copywriting, consultancy or editing which follows the brief
- Content, structure and accuracy
- Wording, language, style and consistency to suit your audience
- Fact checking for non-fiction work
- One revision of the work within 7 days of submission of the initial work (excess revisions are charged at an hourly rate)
Unless agreed upon, your copywriting service from Expressions Media will not include:
- Marketing consultation or research
- Images/image sourcing
- Formatting
- Graphic design or typesetting (including cover and internal pages)
- Additional meetings or extended phone calls (however, these can be requested at a further cost)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, ‘The Client’ is the business, organisation or individual contracting with Expressions Media for services. A ‘Third Party’ refers to the client of The Client or organisation for which The Client is working with.
- This quote includes administration, reasonable client liaison, standard research, written content and one complete set of revisions (if required), as limited to the client brief. Further revisions may be requested but will incur additional charges as negotiated at that time. If extensive research is required, an additional charge will be negotiated in advance.
- Apart from quotes based on a fixed price project, all quotes are based on an hourly rate of work. Therefore, final amounts quoted are only presented as an indication, with the final invoice based on the actual hours worked.
- All quotes in excess of $500 in total require a 20% deposit before the work commences. For quotes up to $500, Expressions Media may proceed with work without a deposit at their discretion.
- Agreeing to this quote signifies you agree to the terms and conditions and agree to pay the quoted amount in full within fourteen days of invoice. Should you terminate the relationship after agreeing upon the quote, you are still required to pay the full invoice amount.
- Any additional ad hoc hours or tasks outside this quote can be undertaken with prior negotiation will be charged at a negotiated rate.
- The upfront deposit is part payment of your total fee and is non-refundable. In some cases, paying upfront in full can attract a discount.
- Work requested outside of normal business hours (9-5 Mon – Fri) will be charged 20% on top of the normal rate.
- Contact is to be made during these normal business hours. Contact outside of these hours will be charged at the hourly rate plus 20%.
- Full payment is to be made within seven days of the invoice. A fee of $50 per fourteen days (or part thereof) will be incurred for late payment thereafter.
- If an invoice is not paid within seven days, all further work will be withheld until invoice is paid and future work will be charged in advance.
- Non-payment / late payment by a third party will not alter these payment terms in any way.
- Meetings and travel costs may be charged in addition to this quote and will be advised.
- If work is required urgently, rush rates will apply as advised.
- While every effort is made to provide you with correct advice, Expressions Media, or any subcontractor, is excluded from any responsibility or indemnity arising from the advice provided. This service is offered as an opinion only.
- Website copy is quoted for copywriting services only and will be delivered to you in a Word doc or PDF format. No graphic design or formatting is included.
- Included revisions must be requested within seven days of the work being delivered to you. If no request is made within this time, this will be taken as acceptance of the work and a final invoice will be sent.
- No revisions will be made after the invoice has been sent.
- Any additional costs required by a third party (for example, domain hosting, graphic design, advertising printing costs etcetera) will be covered completely by the client.
- GST is charged for all services, additional to rates as indicated in the quote.
- Expressions Media reserves the right to showcase copywriting work undertaken on your behalf on our portfolio but you will be credited accordingly. If you require “white label” content, please specify this, as Expressions Media are happy to negotiate.
